Snow Removal Service Agreement
Contract Term: December 1st – April 1st (Seasonal)
Service Trigger: Snow clearing will commence after an accumulation of approximately 5 cm or more.

1. Scope of Services
• Snow clearing means blowing snow from the described physical area to any permissible area nearby.
• Services do not include: stacking or hauling of snow, sanding, salting, or de-icing (unless otherwise specified in writing).
• Shoveling services are available as an add-on option if selected and paid for through the service selection page.
• Follow-up visits are included after city and sidewalk plows, as well as repeat cleanings during prolonged or heavy snowstorms.
• The timing of visits will vary by storm. Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services may perform snow removal at any time deemed necessary.

2. Snow Storage
• If space is insufficient on the client’s property, the client agrees to allow Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services to use space on the side of the driveway or arrange alternate storage (e.g., with an adjoining neighbor).

3. Contract Limitations
• This contract covers up to 300 cm (10 ft) of total snow accumulation.
• If snowfall exceeds this limit, a surcharge will apply on a per-cm basis proportional to the contract amount:
(Example: $599 ÷ 300 = $/cm × excess cm).

4. Client Responsibilities
• Vehicles: If vehicles are parked in the driveway, snow will only be cleared from accessible areas.
• Removal of Obstructions: Basketball nets, garbage bins, recycling bins, toys, cords, decorations, etc. must be cleared prior to service.
• Basketball nets must be rotated or raised to 10 ft minimum.
• Gutter downspouts must be removed before the season begins.
• Water main caps must be leveled by the client or city.

5. Liability
• Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services shall not be liable for damage to objects left in the snow removal area.
• Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services shall not be liable for scratches, rust marks, or damage caused by heaved, chipped, or uneven asphalt/interlock.
• Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services shall not be liable for icy/slippery conditions.
Personal Injury Waiver:
The client acknowledges that Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services and its subcontractors provide snow removal only and do not guarantee safe or slip-free surfaces.
By signing this agreement, the client waives, releases, and discharges Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services, its employees, and subcontractors from all liability for injury, property damage, or claims of any kind. The client further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Contractor from any related claims.

6. Property Markers
• Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services will install two border markers at the street side of the driveway.
• The client must install additional markers around objects such as retaining walls, steps, ramps, etc.

7. Service Exclusions
• Snow from roof cleaning, drifting snow, or ice caused by freezing rain/compaction.
• Shoveling in front of garage doors (where equipment cannot reach), as well as the front steps/walkway, is available only if purchased as an add-on service.

8. Payment & Cancellation
• Full payment is required as per contract terms.
• In the event of non-payment or breach of conditions, this contract becomes void, and services will cease.
• If Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services is proven in breach, the client may cancel and receive reimbursement of prepaid amounts.
• This contract may be transferred to new occupants if the property is sold, or to a new location within the Contractor’s service area.

9. Filming & Media Consent
• Owen’s Custom Cleaning Services may record video or take photos during snow removal operations for training, quality assurance, safety verification, and marketing purposes.
• These recordings help ensure operator accountability, improve staff performance, and verify that work has been completed properly.
• Some footage may be used for promotional or educational purposes, including online platforms and marketing materials.
• By entering into this agreement, the client grants permission for such filming and acknowledges that footage may incidentally capture parts of their property or surroundings.
• No personal identifying information of the client (such as names, addresses, or faces) will be publicly disclosed without consent.
